My lawful reasons for using your information
Under UK data protection law, I rely on one or more of the following lawful bases:
• Consent – for example, when you subscribe to my newsletter
• Contract – when information is needed to provide a service you have requested or take steps before entering into a coaching agreement
• Legitimate interests – for example, responding to an enquiry, managing my business and improving my services

If you subscribe to my newsletter, your name and email address may be stored and processed through Flodesk.
You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link included in every marketing email or by emailing helen@yournextchaptercoaching.co.uk.
Unsubscribing from marketing emails will not prevent me from contacting you about a service you have booked or purchased.

Services that may process your information
I use trusted third-party services to operate my website and business. These may include:
• Wix – website hosting, website forms, cookies and website functionality
• Flodesk – newsletter subscriptions and email communications
• Calendly – call and appointment bookings
• Zoom or Google Meet – online calls and coaching sessions
• WhatsApp or Telegram – communications where you choose to use these services
• Google Drive – secure storage of business documents and appropriate client records
These organisations process information according to their own privacy policies and data-protection responsibilities. Some providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where this happens, I take reasonable steps to use providers that have appropriate safeguards in place.
I do not sell or rent your personal information.
I may disclose information if legally required to do so or if it is necessary to protect someone from a serious risk of harm.
-
Cookies and website information
My Wix website may use essential cookies to make the website function correctly. It may also use analytics or other optional cookies to help me understand how visitors use the website.
Where required, you will be given a choice about non-essential cookies through the website’s cookie banner. You can also control or delete cookies through your browser settings.
My website contains links to other websites and social media platforms. Once you follow an external link, that organisation’s privacy policy will apply.
-
How long I keep information
I keep personal information only for as long as it is reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was collected.
Newsletter information is normally retained until you unsubscribe. Enquiry information that does not lead to a working relationship will generally be deleted when it is no longer needed. Coaching, contractual, invoicing and financial records may be kept for longer where necessary for legal, tax, insurance or professional purposes.
When information is no longer required, I will securely delete or anonymise it.
-
How I protect your information
I take reasonable steps to keep personal information secure. These include using password-protected accounts, reputable service providers and limiting access to information.
However, no online service or method of electronic communication can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
-
